Book

Brimming with rage, sorrow, and resilience, this collection traverses an expansive terrain: genocide; diaspora; the guilt of surviving; racism and Islamophobia; the burdens of girlhood; the solace of sisterhood; the innocence of a first kiss.  Heart-wrenching and raw, defiant and empowering, Sisters’ Entrance explores how to speak the unspeakable.

Celebrating Sisters' Entrance

In celebration of global sisterhood and as a callback to the communities Emi grew up in, "where ladies' nights, slumber parties, girls' trips, and Sister reunions always started with laughs and ended with community, with Sisterhood, with love that goes beyond barriers and across generations," Emi will be hosting a series of global readings and ABC* — "no Alcohol, Boys, or Cameras" parties in collaboration with Femmes around the world, starting in June. Follow her on Instagram & Facebook to keep updated, and check here for upcoming dates.

*Emi's term for the safe spaces she and her friends created during their college years.
